Versailles

The kids and I went to Versailles while Cristin spent the day at the Pompidou Centre working on her Masters course.  We hopped on the train and took a 1/2 hour ride to Chateau de Versailles.  Ella gasped in amazement when we reached the gates of the palace.

It was a very warm day [again] and the kids managed to find an ice cream stand in the garden maze on the palace grounds:

Quinncy wanted to rent a boat and tour the massive fountain/lake where Louis XVI hosted his small scale naval battles.  Our naval battle consisted of a rear attack by 3 ducks that were being fed by Ella.

I managed to kick the boat into high gear and evade the rear assault.

So far the boat rental was Quinncy's and Ella's favorite activity [other than eating ice cream].
