65 Years Later

Here was my Grandfather at the Arc De Triomphe shortly after WWII when Paris was liberated [top row, third from the right].  He was awarded the French Star for his service in France.

Here we are 65 years later.  It was pretty amazing standing on the same spot and appreciating all history that this memorial has endured.

I tried to get the same shot, but there were a few more tourists in 2011 then there was in 1944.
